We all knew it was coming. The Soul couldn't possibly have been Kia's best rendition of the box car. The company released the first official images of the Ray today, weeks ahead of its scheduled public unveiling later this month in Korea.

Code-named "TAM" during its testing stages, the Ray features a quirky door configuration derived from that of the Daihatsu Tanto. It consists of a conventional hinged design for the driver-side passenger door and for added convenience, a sliding door for the passenger side.

The Ray sports the usual visual cues found across the Kia range, such as the tiger-nose corporate grille and LED-accented headlights. Gloss black accented alloy wheels and LED taillamps round up the exterior highlights of the Ray.

The Ray will be powered by a three-cylinder 1.0-liter engine. It has not been announced whether it will be direct-injected.

At this point, we can safely guess that the Ray will go on sale in Asian and European markets only. More information will be posted as it becomes available.

Tutto sommato anche carina, se non altro é abbastanza pulita e proporzionata (ruotine a parte, pressoché inevitabili su questo genere d'auto). Intelligente la soluzione della porta posteriore destra scorrevole.

Ma l'han fatta per tentano di venderla anche nella tana del lupo? con quelle tasse che mettono sulle straniere non so se ci riusciranno.

i coreani si sono ritirati dal mercato giapponese, e non ci sono "tasse" particolari..i giapponesi semplicemente non le comprano...

ma voi la comprereste un'auto " proudly made in Albania"?

e comunque, quando si cimentano con certi "temi" gli altri le porcate dei jap si rivalutano immediatamente....

Per fortuna che almeno gli albanesi non ci stanno facendo le scarpe come stanno facendo i coreani ai japan:lol:
