Premiere at the IAA: The new Amarok “Dark Label”

Hannover, 09-06-2013 – The Amarok from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles not only impresses with its on-road and off-road capabilities, but also with its visual appearance. The more sporty-elegant image of the special “Dark Label” model now sets the tone with unique visual accents.

Visually, the “Dark Label” differs from all other Amarok versions by its dark add-on parts. Especially eye-catching here are the black 18-inch “Durban” alloy wheels. The special model − based on the “Trendline” equipment line − is further differentiated by dark rear side windows, a dark rear windscreen, B-pillars covered with a black trim layer, design stripes, smoked rear lights and LED-illumination for the license plate. Also designed in black are the door handles, exterior mirrors, rear bumper and styling bar as well as the lateral sill tubes with entry step surfaces, while the styled underbody guard at the front is offset in silver.

In the interior, the new special model is distinguished by a more sophisticated cockpit, Alcantara seat covers, velour floor mats with signatures, a RCD 310 radio with multifunction steering wheel, heated front seats and heated windscreen washer nozzles. Also included is a Durabed liner coating for the versatile cargo bed.

Along with the colour Starlight Blue, all of the paints available for the Amarok Trendline can also be ordered on the Amarok “Dark Label” − from Candy White to Deep Black pearl effect.

The Amarok “Dark Label”, which is only available as a DoubleCab, may be combined with any of the engine and drivetrain versions – rear-wheel drive, permanent four-wheel drive or switchable four-wheel drive – with 103 kW / 140 PS or 132 kW / 180 PS.

Prices for the Amarok “Dark Label” start at € 36,271 (103 kW TDI with rear-wheel drive). Advance orders start at the beginning of November, and first deliveries are planned for the beginning of 2014.
