Bentley CEO Wolfgang Dürheimer has indirectly confirmed a more powerfulMulsanne will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show.Talking to Auto Express at the Goodwood FoS, Bentley's CEO Wolfgang Dürheimer hinted at a high-performance Mulsanne which would fit with the company's "sporting luxury" image. It will follow the footsteps of the recently introduced Continental GT3-Rand is expected to come out at this year's Paris Motor Show programmed for October.

The hotter Mulsanne will likely retain the twin-turbo 6.75-liter V8 engine but its output will increase from the series 505 bhp (377 kW) to somewhere in the region of 550 bhp (410 kW) which should decrease the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint time to less than 5 seconds taking into consideration the stock model needs 5.3 seconds before topping out at 184 mph (296 km/h).

The standard car weighs 2,585 kg (5,700 lbs) but the more potent version will likely go through a weight reduction as seen in the aforementioned Continental GT3-R which lost 100 kg (220 lbs). There should also be some chassis tweaks for what will likely end up being a limited-run model.

Non è da esculdere che si tratti di una versione a tiratura limitata.
