debutta al chicago autoshow, imparentata con la jeep cherokee.

Ha dettagli di ispirazione Discovery3 secondo me.

Previewing the forthcoming Dodge mid-size SUV is the Nitro concept vehicle, making its bow at the 2005 Chicago Auto Show. It is both sleek and utilitarian, indicating it being poised for work and play. The exterior is finished in Anodized Red and set off by 20-inch cast aluminum wheels. Chrome, silver and red accents mark the interior, which features a three-pod, four gauge instrument cluster with electroluminescent lighting. The seats are black leather with red inserts for luxury, while the rear floor is textured vinyl and slides forward when the rear door opens. Power comes from the Dodge 3.7-liter overhead cam V-6, which generates 210 horsepower. A four-speed automatic spins a full-time four wheel drive system. Dodge is hoping to create some excitement at the show and slingshot its entry into the SUV slot below the Durango.
