We've been debating whether or not this is a real photo or an expert rendering, but if it is a photoshopped image of a BMW M1 prototype, then it is very convincing. According to FreshTarmac.com, this photo was taken in a hangar in Spain. It shows a sleek two-door, probably mid-engined coupe with attributes of the new M3 incorporated into its design, especially the front fenders and hood. With BMW introducing the M1 Hommage Concept at the Concorso d'Eleganza at Villa d'Este last week, we hope this means that is already considering a production version. Come on BMW, build it!

A me è sembrata solo un M3 pesantemente ritoccata con PS.

Corrisponde in modo troppo dettagliato nei particolari.

E poi fate conto voi quanto facilmente riescono a rimaneggiare le foto, se vogliono.

Confermo che è solo un PS.

Un paio di particolari che lo mostrano chiaramente:

- c'è un errorone sulla fiancata davanti alla ruota posteriore: si sono dimenticati di aggiustare la fuga della minigonna che è rimasta sdoppiata

- il logo BMW non è centrato rispetto al muso: rimane troppo a dx rispetto ad un cofano praticamente piatto.

Aggiusto il titolo.

L'insertino a LED. In effetti è proprio lui. Non ero riuscito a trovargli una paternità.

Concordo con voi, però la giudico carina anche se, a questo punto, inverosimile al 100%.

German car mag Auto-motor-und-sport interviewed Ludwig Willisch from BMW's M GmbH today and he is stating there will be NO M3 CSL as there is no market for it.

He also mentions the same thing for any M3 touring, 1 series "M" and any type of M1 "supercar".

Strangely enough, he does say there WILL be "M" versions of both the X5 and X6..
