(AGI) - Washington, 18 apr. - Danny Federici, tastierista della E Street Band, e' morto a New York. Aveva un cancro alla pelle.

L'annuncio e' stato dato da Bruce Springsteen sul suo sito web.

"Danny e io abbiamo lavorato insieme per 40 anni. Era il piu' eclettico e meraviglioso tastierista del mondo e un musicista nato. Lo amavo cosi' tanto...siamo cresciuti insieme.

Che sia Valhalla o Campi Elisi, che siano le Grandi Praterie di Manito, il suo spirito sarà sempre con la Band e con noi fans.

Il 25 giugno sarò tra quelli che lo ricorderanno con la loro presenza quando il Boss gli dedicherà una canzone.
