suppongo che quel "B mav" stia per B Max ..il piccolo multispazio su base Fiesta..peccato...era uno dei possibili prentendenti come mio prossimo "catorcio"....

E infatti c'è un "A-Max baby MPV", che sembra essere qualcosa di più piccolo del B-max, ovvero un monovolumino su base Ka.

Quello che viene definito B-MAV è più probabilmente un veicolo simil-Fiorino Qubo, ovvero una via di mezzo tra un commerciale piccolo e un mini-monovolume.

Con l'avvento di Penske su Saturn, anche le speranze per l' Aura Hybrid e la Vue Hybrid sono svanite. Stesso dicasi per la cugina Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid (in foto).

Tempo fa invece Toyota aveva messo in stallo la produzione della Camry Solara Convertible.. ora a quanto pare l'ha sospesa definitivamente, senza data destinarsi ..

Il suo posto nella fabbrica di Georgetown verrà preso dalla Venza.

Solo in Svezia...era un modello pensato per il mercato europeo. Una Saab 9-3 rimarchiata, alla fine. Un po' quello che avevano fatto, ma a ruoli invertiti, con l'operazione Opel Omega - Cadillac Catera. Pure il risultato è stato lo stesso

Per la BLS vedo più probabile che venga tolta di mezzo perchè non vende nulla, piuttosto che non venga prodotta perchè Saab è stata ceduta a terzi.

Proprio perchè per campare da sola, ma proprio sola sola, a Saab farebbe solo comodo avere qualcosa in più da produrre sulle "proprie" linee.

A quanto pare Porsche ha smentito il semaforo rosso per la sua piccola sportiva..

Porsche’s current financial troubles are no secret, which is why it’s understandable that the company would welcome any additional sources of income. One suggestion is the introduction of a new entry-level roadster positioned below the current Boxster and built along the lines of the Porsche 914 of the late 1960s and early 1970s. While Porsche research and development chief Wolfgang Dürheimer recently denied claims the company was working on such a car, German media is today reporting that it is still a possibility.

Though the lightweight mid-engined Porsche 914 was far from a perfect machine, it has developed a cult following that keeps it active in the streets and on tracks around the world to this day. With Volkswagen now sitting on a new mid-engined platform developed for its Bluesport roadster concept and eventual production version, as well as Porsche’s strengthening links with the German auto giant, the case for a new baby Porsche roadster is made even stronger.

Speaking with Automobilwoche, Porsche production manager Michael Macht said the car could be as priced as low as €33,000 to €35,000. However, he explained that this would not fit in with the company’s current market position but it could if a fifth model line was added.

If built, the baby roadster would be a joint effort between Porsche and VW though the basic mechanicals would likely be drawn primarily from VW's massive corporate parts bin. The two engines with the most potential are the 1.4L turbocharged/supercharged TSI unit that's good for 170hp (126kW) and the 125hp (93kW) diesel four-cylinder. Though the diesel would likely be more fitting of an economy-version of the car than a Porsche-badged model.

Expect it to come sans-LSD, however, in order to keep the car from vying too closely with the lower end of the Boxster range. At an estimated 2,200lbs (1,000kg) and 170hp (126kw), the baby roadster could be expected to give the standard Elise a run for its money, especially considering it is likely to benefit from Porsche's legendary suspension tuning and steering design.

There remains no official confirmation of any such joint project as yet - it's still purely in the realm of speculation, and optimistic at that - but it does make sense. Tight fuel economy requirements make production of a quick, nimble and miserly car an appealing maneuver, and tying the car into established enthusiast history could help Porsche side-step issues that such a car might create for its image. Not that the Panamera, soon to be available in diesel and hybrid forms, or the Cayenne in its many guises do much to keep with the company's tradition of sports car-focused performance.

General Motors CEO Fritz Henderson held a web chat with journalists earlier today over at the automaker's Fastlane Blog. (Full transcript available here.) Now, despite persistent rumors to the contrary, it's been reported a few times over that GM has no intention of resurrecting the Aussie-built Pontiac G8 under a different division, even though variants of the G8's Holden Commodore source material are sold in foreign markets under both the Chevrolet and Buick nameplates. This is a lamentable course of action, to say the least, because the G8 is a really good car. In particular, the G8 GT and GXP models are downright excellent. Towards the end of the web proceedings, AutoWeek's Greg Migliore went to the well one last time on behalf of enthusiasts everywhere, asking Henderson if the G8 has any future under one of the "new" GM's remaining brands.

That's a terse, disappointing, answer – especially considering that of GM's four remaining divisions, GMC is made up almost exclusively of warmed-over Chevrolets. R.I.P. Pontiac G8. (Or new Chevy Impala. Or Buick Park Avenue...)

Only a week after General Motors stated that the Vibe would be the only Pontiac model to be offered for retail sale in the brand's 2010MY portfolio, the automaker announced today its decision to discontinue production of the compact crossover by the end of August 2009. The Vibe is produced alongside its sister model, the Toyota Matrix, at the New United Motor Manufacturing Incorporated (NUMMI) facility jointly operated by GM and Toyota in Fremont, California.

"While no replacement for Vibe production has been determined, GM and Toyota remain in active discussions regarding potential future production at NUMMI," General Motors said in a statement.

As we speak, the automaker's original plan is to gradually phase out the Pontiac brand by the end of 2010, though we wouldn't be at all surprised if General Motors decides to pull the plug on the historic marque at an earlier point.
