Uffa, ma che brutta!

La SH non mi è mai piaciuta ma la berlina l'ho sempre trovata molto bella, semplice, pulita e sportivetta al punto giusto.... con questo musaccio sproprzionato e barocco l'hanno rovinata.

Just in time to celebrate Saabs 60 year anniversary this summer, the 9-3 gets a new face. After having already caught photos of a Saab Sport Hatch prototype, here are new photos showing that the 9-3 convertible will also get a restyling. The current convertible has been on the market since 2003.

The powerful style of the new front, with the bigger grille, is inspired from the Aero X Concept. Other trademarks from the Concept are the smaller side grilles and the v-shaped hood. Expect some chrome in the grilles and also a chrome stripe on the upper side of the headlamps.

Both the front bumper and the bumper in the back are new, and together with the missing décor stripes on the doors as well on the bumpers, it gives the new 9-3 a cleaner look. Also the door handles are new. It looks like they are the same as on the Cadillac BLS. The shape of the rear lights will remain the same, but there will be optional LED lights.

Poi che cofano motore ha? E' posticcio come neanche i bagagliai di Bangle quando è in forma, sembra il coperchio di una padella!

A parte la battuta sulla cabrio,

le saab le ho sempre adorate (ne abbiamo avute due a casa una 9000 e una 9.5), quello che mi spaventa - e vale per tutte le marche e i modelli su cui è stata fatta un'operazione del genere - è l'appiccicare un frontale nuovo su una macchina vecchiotta, in questo caso non solo vecchiotta, ma che aveva un suo equilibrio molto ben definito e orientato alla semplicità delle linee (parlo della berlina e della cabrio... la SH non mi piace).

Sulla 9.5 il trapianto non si è adattato benissimo, secondo me qui è peggio, trovo il nuovo muso non proporzionato con il resto della macchina e troppo carico/caratterizzato per adattarsi bene.

Confermo anche l'impressione del cofano a coperchio per padelle.
