Full Details Emerge on 2013 Chevy Volt

By Eric Loveday · April 17, 2012

GM Inside News reports that model year 2013 Chevrolet Volt will feature technical modifications, additional options and a laundry list of new features. According to the report, pricing for the 2013 Volt is not available at this time, but a 22-page ordering document sent to US Chevy dealerships reveals these 2013 Volt-related details:

• EV Hold mode will be added to the 2013 Chevy Volt.

• 2013 Chevy Volts will be available in three emission levels: standard, e-AT-PZEV (eligible for California's HOV-access green sticker) and a newly added AT-PZEV version. Modifications to the Volt's emissions equipment are required to meet various emissions levels.

• The navigation system will include Chevrolet MyLink.

• Safety Packages include Package 1 with an auto-dimming radar view mirror, rear park assist and rear camera or Package 2 which adds front park assist, forward collision alert and a lane departure warning system.

• Heated seats are now optional on cloth interior 2013 Volts.

• The 2013 Volt's roof and rear hatch will be painted to match the body color.

• Silver Topaz will be added as an extra-cost exterior color choice.

Those are all the details available right now on the upcoming 2013 Chevy Volt. Price will be the most important factor, but we'll have to wait a bit longer to find out whether General Motors will increase or decrease the Volt's MSRP for Model Year 2013
