E' spuntata fuori da quando hanno aperto "PARTE" del garage sotterraneo Motorsport.

Chissà che altri "orrori" nascondo, magari un X5 M CSL o qualche serie 1 davvero a trazione anteriore da dare nei test drive ai malcapitati che tanto loro pensavano già lo fosse

Esistono entrambe quelle che hai citato. Serie 1 E8x su pianale GOLF IV a TA esiste. E' spersa da qualche parte, ma c'è.

Caught Testing: 2012 BMW M3 GTS/Evo Sedan - Spy Shots

Lightweight M3 sedan caught ripping around the ’Ring.

In April, BMW presented a lightweight version of the M3 sedan that, even at the time, we knew was a concept only in name. True to form—and BMW’s track record of near production-ready concept vehicles—our savvy spy photographers have caught a lighter and faster version of the M3 sedan lapping the Nürburgring. The navy blue sedan looks nearly identical to the 4-door concept BMW showed only one month ago.

While inspiration for this stripped-down version of the M3 sedan has undoubtedly come from the wild GTS Coupe, don’t expect quite the same level of power and outrageous design as that track-day 2-door.

Stuck in the Middle

The M3 Evo (or possibly GTS) Sedan is going to slot between the standard M3 and the hardcore GTS. What does that mean exactly? For starters, the Evo will almost certainly have more power than the 414-bhp M3, though not quite the output of the 444-bhp GTS. BMW could opt to use the GTS’ bored-out 4.4-liter V-8 in the Evo, but we think it’s more likely the German automaker will squeeze a few more ponies out of the 4.0-liter from the M3.

The Europe-only GTS jettisoned 265 lb. of curb weight, thanks mainly to the removal of the stereo, climate control system, most of the sound insulation and the entire rear seat. Once again, the Evo sedan should trim some pesky pounds, though not to the extent of the GTS. After all, what good are four doors if there’s no rear seat? Expect the M3 Evo Sedan to weigh approximately 100 lb. less than the M3 Sedan, possibly through the use of the GTS’ titanium mufflers and carbon-fiber roof—although it doesn’t appear the latter is fitted to this test mule at the ’Ring.

Larger brakes and a sportier suspension are also guaranteed to find their way into the M3 GTS/Evo Sedan. It’s unlikely that the oversized rear wing of the GTS Coupe will migrate to this performance sedan. The M3 Evo Sedan seems to have settled for a smaller, subtler trunk-mounted lip spoiler.

Mah, dico la mia stupidata... Potrebbe essere una versione speciale (tiratura limitata magari) per salutare il rientro nel DTM 2012???

Tempo fa nella sezione Sport era stata riportata la notizia del ritorno dei Bavaresi il prossimo anno e della loro intenzione di farlo con la M3... E visto che son tutte Sedan, magari han pensato di tornare col botto!!!

P.S. se l'attuale Serie 3 non mi ha mai fatto molto sangue, trovo invece che in configurazione Motorsport acquisti ben altro sapore
