Initially, it was believed the second member of the M-Class will be sold with either the MLC or ML Coupe nameplate but now it seems Mercedes-Benz has decided to use "GLE Coupe." According to the report, the "E" in "GLE" is a reference to the similarly-sized E-Class family and in the future we should also expect to see the GLK successor as a C-Class-based “GLC” positioned between the GLA and GLE. A GLC Coupe to take on the BMW X4 is also being considered but a decision has not been taken yet.
