E' partitas la produzione europea dell'Amarok nello stabilimento tedesco di Hannover. Dopo 1 anno di importazioni dall'Argentina (la produzione a Pacheco continua per l'america latina, circa 80.000 esemplari/annui), VW ha deciso di produrlo anche in europa per 40.000 esemplari/anno.

Gli Amarok Europei saranno esportati anche in Africa.
