[h=2]To be Aston's flagship model[/h]

A new report involving the Bertone Jet 2+2 says the car is

about to enter limited production.

Basically a shooting brake variant of the

Aston Martine Rapide, the Bertone Jet 2+2 made its public debut in March at the 2013

Geneva Motor Show. At that time it remained a one-off for a special Bertone

customer, but apparently things have changed as a small production run is

seriously taken into consideration.

If green-lighted, the Rapide Shooting Brake

will be Aston Martin's flagship model so expect a steep price tag to match the

exclusivity. Autocar says that if

production will be under ten units then Bertone will probably make them at their

headquarters outside Turin, but if more than ten are planned then most likely

Aston Martin will be in charge of building them at Gaydon.

The same source indicates Aston Martin will

want to sell it under the "Rapide Shooting Brake" moniker.
