Roewe Ei5 Electric Compact Wagon è basata sulla Buick Excelle GX venduta per il solo mercato Cinese.

La componente elettrica è completamente sviluppata da Roewe ed è costituto da un motore elettrico asincrono da 115 CV che assicura una velocità massima di 145 km/h.

Poco dopo sarà lanciata con due motori termici, Roewe i5, e sarà equipaggiata con due tre cilindri turbocompressi da 1.0 litro e 1.3 litri (125 e 163 CV rispettivamente).
