Fiat shares jump 5 percent on report of GM sale plan

MILAN -- Shares in Fiat jumped more than 5 percent after an Italian news magazine said the company's new CEO had decided to exercise an option to sell car division Fiat Auto to General Motors.

Weekly magazine Economy said on Thursday, in a pre-publication summary of a story in Friday's edition, that Sergio Marchionne planned to exercise the option before the end of the year.

No one was immediately available to comment at Fiat.

Si rovinano tutte e due se esercitano la PUT... la GM rimane senza una lira e la FIAT perde tutta la sua particolarità........

secondo me la Fiat mette in giro volutamente queste notizie per far strizzare un po GM e fargli pagare un ricco compenso nel caso non eserciti il put
