Rendered Speculation: Cadillac CTS Coupe and Wagon

Reported almost one year ago by Automotive news (subs. req.) and gaining traction once again, Cadillac is expanding the CTS range with coupe and wagon variants set to debut in 2009 as 2010 models. Disappointing CTS and BLS sedan sales in Europe have given GM incentive to consider additional variants in an effort to emulate BMW's 3-Series and Mercedes C-Class ranges. Additionally, wagons are more appealing to Europeans and could help jump start the brand.

Spy sources are whispering that a CTS wagon concept could debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit this coming January and then making a European debut in Geneva. Public reaction in Geneva as well as demand of the Cadillac BLS wagon which is just beginning sales now will be critical in GM making a decision in giving the green light to production.

Obviously, no prototypes have been spotted yet, however, these photos which have been digitally edited show how they might look like.
