Back in January we caught wind of a special edition McLaren MP4-12C dubbed the High Sport. A project of McLaren Special Operations, the High Sport benefits from aerodynamic enhancements developed for the MP4-12C GT3 racer and features a new front end and rear bumper, larger vents and diffuser, a modified rear wing and unique wheels. Topping it all off, McLaren has boosted the twin-turbo 3.8L V8 by 75 horsepower, further increasing performance. Just five will be produced in total, all of which have already been spoken for.

At the time of our initial report, only a single low resolution photo and amateur video were available for the special edition McLaren. Thankfully that has been remedied, as the official photographer for McLaren Special Operations has sent us a stunning gallery that includes all five MP4-12C High Sport examples.

Era stata beccata più di un mese fa in una presentazione in concessionario a Miami:

Questa temo da nessuna parte visto che ne hanno fatte cinque e credo proprio che ormai siano tutte già vendute da tempo

Continuo a trovarla più piacevole della 458, nonostante sia meno personale e moderna. Questa variante, però, non mi fa impazzire.

Senza personalità (ed anche bruttarella), come la versione base (che, tra l'altro, le ha sempre prese dalla 458 in quasi tutte le prove comparative).

Continuo a considerarla una macchina che "vorrebbe essere come la 458 Italia, ma non può".

Allora, la modifica è anche tecnica, son stati aggiunti 75Cv al 3.8 .
