JAS HONDA ACCORD TO TEST IN 45 DAYS

JAS Motorsport announced today that the building of the Honda Accord 2.0i in Super 2000 specs, which will take part in the 2004 FIA European Touring Car Championship, is making great steps forwards. Personnel in the JAS Motorsport workshop is working fast to complete the programme on scheduled. Testing will begin by the mid of April, and the date of the new car’s debut in the FIA ETCC, remains fixed for the third race meeting of the season, on May 2nd at Magny-Cours. While waiting for the new Accord, JAS Motorsport will take part in the first two race meetings of the European Championship – in Monza on March 28th, and Valencia on April 18th – with a Honda Civic Type-R car driven by Alessandro Balzan. “I’m quite pleased of how the project is going on at JAS, and I’m sure the Accord will be competitive since its first races,” the Italian youngster commented. In the meantime, JAS Motorsport has received a number of requests from drivers wishing to race the sister car in the second half of the season.
