Mahindra has taken the wraps off the KUV100, a “Kool Utility Vehicle” set to go on sale at the beginning of next year.

India-based Mahindra is having a rather busy December as after acquiring a controlling stake in Pininfarina, it’s now ready to roll out a subcompact crossover with an overall length of less than 157 inches (4 meters). The new model joins the larger TUV300 and XUV500 models and will target the young audience. Interestingly, the KUV100 will come with a 3+3 seating arrangement, but we are still waiting to see the interior.

Power will come from a new array of mFalcon engines, kicking off with a naturally-aspirated 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder gasoline mill that churns 82 horsepower and 84 pound-feet of torque. The more frugal common rail turbodiesel has the same 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder configuration and pumps out 77 hp and 140 lb-ft. Both engines will be teamed up exclusively to a five-speed manual gearbox and a front-wheel drive layout.

On the safety side, Mahindra will sell its Kool Utility Vehicle with dual front airbags, electronic stability control, anti-lock brakes, and electronic brake force distribution.

It’s bound to go on sale early January and will go up against the Renault Kwid, another affordable subcompact crossover engineered primarily for the Indian market.

PS: If you are wondering about the size of those tiny wheels, that’s a 15-inch set with 185/65 R15 tires.

Mi sembra piccolina per 6 posti... comunque non è così malvagia. Bisogna sempre pensare a cosa proponevano finoa  2 giorni fa e al fatto che va su un mercato culturalmente molto diverso dal nostro .

Più brutta del mezzo in sé c'è solo la qualità dei photoshop col tizio appoggiato sulla macchina.

se il loro centro stile fa ste robe quelli della Mahindra hanno fatto tombola a comprare Pininfarina!!
