Il pianale è solo uno degli  elementi che concorre per il risultato finale, accanto alla messa a punto di airbag, cinture, sedili, cruscotto, dotazioni di sicurezza attiva, e in ogni caso, 500X di stelle ne ha prese 4.
A guardar velocemente la scheda del test con i punteggi,  il 3008, anch'esso testato e premiato con 5 stelle, fa bene o male come la Tipo con il safety pack a parte nella protezione bambini, dove invece risulta ben più efficace. Probabilmente è qui che si è giocata le 5 stelle...

Actually the result is not bad. With some electronic gadgets added on it would have 5 stars. This just shows how pathetic EuroNCAP test have become. The best example is 500X with 4 stars on EuroNCAP while on more severe IIHS test it got the beast possible rating. 

Fanno bene, invece. Così convincono le case a mettere di serie dispositivi importanti per la sicurezza.

No, ha i classici 6 airbag: 2 frontali, 2 torace laterali, 2 a tendina su tutta la lunghezza abitacolo, pretensionatori solo ai posti anteriori.

Actually the result is both not good and not bad. As you can see reading the results, with some electronic gadgets the Tipo gets 4 stars and no electronic gadget would improve child protection.

Test are different, cars can be different depending from the market. My Honda Jazz, EUDM, is not the same car sold in USDM,  there are some differences;  I have rear disk brakes while americans have rear drum brakes, but they have a more robust beam behind the front bumper for a good performance at the small overlap. Under the rear bumper, american Fits have a steel beam, european Jazz have a plastic foam, but USDM Fits do not have electronic safety devices as Automatic Brake, Lane Assist and so on. So an european Honda Jazz, if tested by IIHS, would not certainly be so good as an american Fit, and an american Fit tested by Euroncap would not get five stars without its  safety electronic equipment.

trovi le dotazioni di sicurezza della versione senza safety pack.  Nell'altra pagina ci son quelle della versione più dotata.

La "base" ha 6 bag, pretensionatori anteriori, cicalini cinture davanti e dietro; la safety pack aggiunge la frenata automatica, il cruise control ma manca la funzione Lane Assist.
