In Giappone è stata recentemente presentata una nuova versione della Swift.

Si tratta della variante ibrida della segmento B nipponica, che va ad ampliare ulteriormente la sua gamma.

Rispetto alla versione col sistema SHVS, ovvero mild-hybrid, questa nuova Swift Hybrid è una vera propria ibrida.

Al motore 4 cilindri 1.2 da 94 cavalli è abbinata una unità elettrica da 10 kW: la sinergia consente, sulla carta, un consumo (ciclo giapponese) di 32 km/l.

Per ciò che concerne la trasmissione, è presente un cambio manuale robotizzato a 5 rapporti.

Sul mercato interno sarà proposta in due allestimenti, SL e SG con prezzi che partono, rispettivamente, da 1.650,000 ¥ e 1.944,000 ¥.
