The 1.9 CDTi ECOTEC is available in two power outputs - 120 and 150 hp - and can be ordered now in Vectra hatch and Estate, and Signum. It will also be one of the star engines when it becomes available in the new Astra, later this year.

The two versions of the 1.9 CDTi are largely similar - each with four cylinders, a 1910 cc displacement, a turbocharger with variable turbine geometry and intercooler. However, the 150 hp version features four-valve technology. Fuel is supplied to the combustion chambers at pressures of up to 1600 bar.

The Vectra Estate and Signum will also feature a maintenance free diesel particulate filter (DPF) to ensure compliance with the Euro 4 emission standard. The filter consists of a 'honeycomb' ceramic core of silicon carbide, perforated by microscopic channels. As exhaust gas passes through, particulates are collected on the channel walls, and are burned off regularly to prevent the filter from exceeding back-pressure limits.

Non capisco il non credo, il DPF e' patentato dalla Fiat...ed i cosidetti CDTi Ecotec sono motori Fiat multijet prodotti in Pratola Serra...

Scusate, lo sapevo che è il nome di chi lo ha inventato, ma a forza di messaggiare col cellulare, si finisce di abbreviare tutto. Provate a scrivere una frase col linguaggio degli sms con "xkè", "cmq", "tvb"... ogni giorno, e vedrete che ci fate l'abitudine anche dove risulta migliore scrivere in italiano più correggiuto!

Per caso avrà le stesse caratteristiche del FAP del gruppo PSA, oppure sarà un sistema che garantirà minori consumi e più prestazioni?
