Bmw Serie 7 M-Pack (Spy)

A 7-series prototype with some very distinct BMW M Division styling elements has been spotted testing in Germany and has already led to speculation that a new M7 is in the works. BMW’s storied M Division was the group assigned with development of the 8-series and it’s entirely possible that some of its mechanicals, such as a new powertrain and suspension set-up, could still appear in a new M7.

Some of the unique features seen on this prototype include a subtle bonnet bulge, oversized brakes and an aggressively styled front bumper with gaping air intakes. A second prototype in black, however, is missing the bonnet bulge and performance wheels and brakes seen on the grey prototype. Furthermore, a lack of M-style fender vents and quad exhaust pipes suggest that the prototypes seen here are only wearing a new 7-series M-styling pack.

Everything remains speculation at this point as BMW is yet to confirm any plans for a new performance 7-series, but the evidence seen in these spy shots suggests there is definitely something new for the flagship saloon brewing at BMW.

M7 o pacchetto estetico M?

Contro l'ipotesi M7, sia WCF che Motorauthority indicano i cerchi meno sportivi, l'assenza del bozzo sul cofano e la mancanza dello scarico quadruplo delle "M".

Personalmente, dopo aver spluciato un po' le foto (su ordinazione ) sono convinto che, qualunque cosa sia, non si tratta di un semplice pacchetto estetico M-Style.

E questo, molto semplicemente, perchè dentro alle enormi bocche del nuovo paraurti anteriore si vede un bendiddio di radiatori e scambiatori che non c'è su nessuna motorizzazione esistente della serie 7, neppure sulla prossima 760i che ha addirittura un V12 turbo.

In questi prototipi, in particolare si vedono due intercooler nelle due bocche laterali che significano una sola cosa: motore turbo ancora più potente del 6.0 V12 da 544 CV.

La storia della mancanza della gobba sul cofano e dei quattro scarichi, poi, è una baggianata.

La gobba sul prototipo dorato è chiaramente aggiuntiva e serviva per gli strumenti di acquisizione dati. Sotto quel cofano ci sta un V12 6000 turbo, per cui ci sta sotto tutto quello che si vuole senza bisogno di gobbe.

Il quadruplo scarico è una cosa che si mette e si toglie senza problemi, perchè in realtà i terminali che rettangolari che si vedono sul paraurti sono solo posticci e i 4 tubi veri sono all'interno e si intravedono anche. Il terminalino cromato è solo estetico.

In definitiva, il mio giudizio è che potrà chiamarsi M7 o qualcos'altro, ma sicuramente non è un semplice M-pack, ma è una nuova motorizzazione con una cavalleria superiore ai 550 CV. 8)
