Tourist Trophyè la denominazione di varie altre gare "storiche" dei primi decenni dell'automobilismo.

La TT teutonica non prende il nome dalla gara motociclistica. Credo lo prenda dal Tourist Trophy tedesco. Anche in Italia c'è stata (e forse rimane ancora qualche rievocazione) qualche gara con questa denominazione.

Sull'isola di man si disputava anche la gara automobilistica, e NSU la vinse a piu' riprese nella sua categoria. ( le tutto dietro NSU stavano molto bene in strada )

anch'io avevo sentito questa versione, ma + o - 35 anni fa da mio Padre.

Penso che sia verosimile.
