Infatti per i navigatori ammiro molto la strategia della Renault. Non promette chissà quali effetti speciali, ma ti dà un validissimo garmin integrato o di serie oppure optional a un costo concorrenziale (max 500€)

che poi la parte multimedia è una delle pecche di FGA secondo me, non dico fare un sistema tipo iDrive o l'MMI Audi, ma fare un qualcosa di simile

(ovviamente con una grafica più classica, adattandolo al tipo di macchina) in cui hai l'integrazione di navigatore, autoradio con usb e aux, lettore dvd e magari dati sulle performance della macchina e internet (per una volta in anticipo su altri)

poi sull'utilità di tutto questo si può discutere ma fanno presenza, scena, ti danno un aria hitech che manca a questa thema rispetto alle concorrenti

A quel che mi ricordo si tratta di un nuovo navigatore più avanzato rispetto ai Marelli montati su molte auto del gruppo, sarebbe bello se qualcuno riuscisse ad approfondire la cosa.

Ne ho visto uno sul dodge, non è male, non ai livelli scenografici di audi o bmw ma efficace, sul ram ha aux, usb e un hard disk per memorizzare contenuti digitali.

All-new Uconnect Touch Models Keep Passengers Connected

From navigation to dual-zone climate controls, to the ability to check fuel prices, Uconnect Touch is designed to enhance the entire driving experience. A fully integrated component to the all-new Chrysler 300 sedan’s beautiful new interior design, two Uconnect Touch (8.4 and 8.4N) models are available. Audio controls, including next station, radio preset and previous station or track are located on the left rear spoke of the wheel. Volume, up or down and change audio mode are located on the right rear spoke of the steering wheel. Chrysler was the first automaker to locate audio control at the rear of the wheel. The new electrical system allows both high- and low-speed data networks to be equipped with as many as 40 individual modules, all designed to improve vehicle performance and enhance the comfort and safety of the Chrysler 300. “With PowerNet, advanced technologies ‘talk to each other,’ making the Chrysler 300 more responsive, its safety technologies more purposeful and the driver more aware and alert of his or her surroundings,” added Amici.

Within the PowerNet high-speed network, each module (e.g., Forward Collision Warning) processes its individual data and transmits the appropriate commands within the vehicle to activate any additional systems (e.g., anti-lock brake system and adaptive cruise control). The Uconnect Touch 8.4N integrates Garmin software and technology providing segment-leading navigation, lane guidance and more than 6 million points of interest. With its massive 8.4-inch touchscreen, the Chrysler 300 sedan’s driver and passengers are provided with audible turn-by-turn instructions and simplified visual cues while the vehicle is in motion. Uconnect Voice Command with Bluetooth®

The available Uconnect Voice Command with Bluetooth® is an in-vehicle, voice-activated communication system that allows drivers to operate a Bluetooth® compatible phone with their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. When the Bluetooth® phone is initially connected, the contact list is automatically downloaded, synchronizing as many as 1,000 phone book entries, which can then be selected by simply saying a contact name. It also allows drivers to switch radio modes, tune to AM/FM and SIRIUS Satellite Radio stations and request real-time information (such as fuel prices) from SIRIUS Travel Link using natural voice commands. USB Port With iPod® Control

il display di Uconnect Touch di 8,4 pollici e' uno dei piu' grandi del segmento per esempio quello della nuova A6 e' di 8 pollici mentre quello di classe E e' di 7 pollici...per avere dati specifici riguardo la versione usata da Thema dobbiamo aspettare la sua presentazione tra 6 mesi

Il Uconnect 8.4 e' il nuovo sistema multimediale di Chrysler con touchscreen di 8,4 pollici, per il momento disponibile in diverse versioni solo su new Chrysler 300,new Dodge Charger e Dodge Journey MY2011/Fiat Freemont...la nuova Grand Cherokee per esempio usa un'altra versione di UConnect con display di minori dimensioni non touch...

leggere il comunicato stampa di Uconnect Touch 8.4/8.4N e i suoi features prima, tutto quello che avevi chiesto e molto di piu' viene offerto gia' nella versione usata da new Chrysler 300.

effettivamente dal comunicato il touchscreen risulta avere risoluzione QVGA (dopo breve ricerca ho dedotto corrispondere a 320x240) che confrontata a 800x480 di BMW o Audi risulta piuttosto inferiore.

Non sono un esperto di questo tipo di aggeggi quindi non vorrei aver detto delle cazzate.
