[h=2]Debuts in September at Frankfurt Motor Show[/h]Seat has announced the upcoming Leon ST will be offered in a four-wheel, right-hand drive configuration.

The firm's R&D chief Matthias Rabe toldAutocar during 2013 Auto Shanghai the ST is going to be revealed in September at Frankfurt Motor Show. The four-wheel, right-hand drive Leon will be available at first only for the ST variant and will take the Golf VII’s 4MOTION system when it goes on sale in United Kingdom before the end of 2013.

Rabe also declared the Leon Cupra will be unveiled "before the end of the year" and is rumored to pack a 2.0-liter turbocharged mill developing 261 bhp (195 kW). The hotter Cupra model will be available at first for three- and five-door versions, while the Leon ST Cupra hasn't been confirmed yet.

Later this summer Seat will launch a frugal Ecomotive variant of the Leon which will offer just about the same figures as the Golf Bluemotion (88.3 mpg UK / 73.5 mpg US or 3.19 liters / 100 km, with CO2 emissions of 85 g/km).

After completing the Leon lineup, Seat will allegedly start working on an SUV/crossover.
