Buone notizie anche per la Galant, tornerà anch'essa esclusivamente sul mercato americano ed asiatico

The midsize model will be first car to come from Mitsubishi's partnership with Renault-Nissan. The sedan will be based on the Renault Latitude built by Renault Samsung in Busan, South Korea. Aimed at North America, the midsize sedan will go on sale in two to three years time, Masuko said.

Mitsubishi has decided to stop making its own compact cars and focus on the booming SUV market, Masuko confirmed.

Niente da fare  il piano è stato sospeso

Mitsubishi has announced they will not be getting a rebadged Renault-Nissan model in the near future. It was November 2013 when Mitsubishi teamed up with the Renault-Nissan alliance to work on a joint project which among others included getting a couple of rebadged sedans. Mitsubishi knows they are in dire need of a portfolio expansion but it seems that won't happen in the near future as the "plan has stalled", according to Don Swearingen who is the executive vice-president of Mitsubishi Motors North America.

One of the cars was supposed to be a D-segment (mid-size) sedan which North American dealers have been patiently waiting for quite some time. Swearingen refused to elaborate on the matter and said during a NADA meeting the plan has reached an impasse. After the dealer meeting, he declared "all options are still open" but didn't go into any specifics.

It's not known at this moment whether the disagreement is limited only to the mid-size sedan or to the entire partnership which includes "several new projects covering shared products, technologies and manufacturing capacity."

Son messi maluccio in casa Mitsu eh :attorno:

Considerato che l'unica roba che son pronti a lanciare è il facelift di Outlander e che il nuovo L200 sia stato criticato globalmente causa aspetto dimesso, sì.

Ah, al salone di Bruxelles han presentato l'Attrage europea (la Space Star Sedan), ma sicuramente sarà riservata a pochi paesi del vecchio continente.
