Eccezionale trovata per ridurre i problemi del pedone nel caso di impatto anteriore. Un sistema simile agli airbag identifica l'urto con il pedone e lascia esplorere delle cariche simili a quelle che governano il sistema degli Airbag. Come risultato il cofano motore si innalza e a mezzo di molle improvvisamente rese libere attenua l'urto del pedone con il cofano motore.

La prima vettura a montare un sistema del genere e' stata la C5, ma il sistema ha raggiunto la piena maturita' sulla Jaguar XK. Su questa vettura il cofano motore si innalza di ben 13 cm in 30 millisecondi.

Veramente ottimo.
