Presentata al North American International Auto Show 2004.

Type of vehicle: Off-road sports coupe

What's cool: A futuristic dune buggy created by VW's California design studio. This cross between a sports car and a small SUV has winged doors, T-bar roof, 241-hp V-6 engine and VW's 4Motion all-wheel-drive.

Torque: 235 lb.-ft. @ 2,800 rpm

Acceleration: 0 to 62.5 mph—6.9 seconds

Top speed: 144 mph

Length: 4,079 mm

Width: 1,963 mm

Height: 1,450 mm

Production possibility: Unlikely (siamo salvi, forse!), although VW insists that the concept would fill a gap in the SUV segment.

Designer: Derek Jenkins
