A source within Ford Motor Company has reportedly revealed that a near-production crossover concept will be heading to the 2011 Detroit Auto Show. When this concept vehicle takes its production shape, it will serve as the replacement for the venerable Ford Escape and Kuga crossovers.

Based off of the 2012 Focus' platform, the new Escape/Kuga is expected to go into production in the second half of 2012 and be sold as a 2013 model in the United States. At this time, it is unclear as to whether or not Ford will keep both the Escape and Kuga names in the vehicles' respective markets. The automaker's "One Ford" global product strategy would call for a single name for vehicles sold in different regions, and the Blue Oval team will surely face a similar problem with the redesigned Fusion and Mondeo sedans in the near term.

Le probabilità che venga fuori male sono elevate, dati gli ultimi prodotti Ford.

Cosi' oltre al danno (la nuova World Car ) ci sara' anche la beffa (la Kuga ha avuto una vita di soli 5 anni...penso ai suoi attuali possessori...).

se esteticamente è come il concept (salvo le ottiche dei fari e la vetratura che sono ovviamente inproducibili) imho sarà proprio un bel suv altro che Q5 ecc... il paraurti anteriore del concept mi piace un botto

azz che linea peante che si prefigura... non prevedo niente di buono

Posteriore un po' meno discendente e un po' più voluminoso del concept (ma c'è anche un finto mensolone sopra il lunotto che fa sembrare il posteriore ancora più grosso di quello che è), ma per il resto non mi sembra venire poi così pesante.

Più grande del Kuga, quello si.

Premesso che lo stile sara' in linea con l'attuale family feeling dell'ovale blu, e considerato che il segmento SUV "attrae" sempre piu' utenti, credo che la forza della Vertek sia nell'ottimo rapporto qualita'/prezzo e nella presenza di accessori inetressanti (sia per la sicurezza che per la vivibilita' dell'auto).

La sostanza in questo segmento premia (vedi Hyundai-Kia).
