I was thinking to write this sentence: "I'll take a break now, only to have a break...." but at the same time I was craving (not sure if this verb is correct or not but used a lot by Aussies) a coffee so I wrote the other sentence.... I know that have a tea would be better for an Englishman but, due to frequent business trips to China, I start to develop a light loathing for tea....

PS - since I quit smoking I decided quitting coffee (well, I still drink one or two, not too bad given that I was used to eight espresso(s) a day...Am I turning into a proper Englishmen? :oops::(:shock:

Si, ma se vuoi dire "devi avere un po' di pazienza" in Inglese, va benissimo "you should be a little (more) patient".

Se dici "you should have a little patient" stai dicendo "dovresti avere un piccolo paziente". :mrgreen:

C'è anche la forma "have patience" riportata da loric, simile alla forma italiana, ma la forma più corrente in inglese è "be patient". :)

Guarda, ti suggerisco di iniziare dai libri (in particolare per imparare la grammatica e un pò di lessico).

Una volta conosciuta la grammatica di base e le parole più comuni, puoi iniziare a guardare film, serie tv e cartoni in inglese, magari sottotitolati (sempre in inglese). Magari riguarda dei film che hai già visto più volte in italiano, così più o meno sai orientarti e puoi concentrarti sulla lingua invece che sulla trama.

Anche ascolare stazioni radio inglesi (via web) può essere utile.

Intanto che ascolti e guardi, però, continua a studiare sui libri. Dimenticare è molto facile, se non ci si esercita!

Io ho iniziato con i volumi "English Grammar in Use" e "English Vocabulary in Use"... Ho fatto un pò tutti i livelli e ora capisco molto bene l'inglese. Qualche difficoltà in più ce l'ho nel parlare, più che altro perchè non ho spesso occasione di farlo!
