Definire un mount in /etc/fstab di un HD esterno

Starei realizzando un media server composto da un vecchio laptop e un hd esterno.

Per poter realizzare tale sistema vorrei montare l'hd esterno mediante il file /etc/fstab . L'HD deve essere montato in modo da permettere ad un pc Windows/MacOSX di poter accedere al disco esterno montato sia in lettura che in scrittura usando samba.

che distribuzione? (c'è differenza se usa init o systemctl) e che filesystem ha l'hard disk?

ad ogni modo collega il disco, naviga in /dev/disk/by-uuid e fai un ls -all.

cerca l'UUID dell'hard disk in questione e copialo nel file /etc/fstab dovrai scrivere:

UUID:riporti l'uuid cartella_dove_monti codice_filesystem opzioni 0 0
