La civic 8a serie ha nella sua quadratura lo stratosferico 2.2 i-CTDi di Honda. Unico diesel assieme al successivo 1.6 ad esser un mulo da soma e molto migliore del 1.7 by Isuzu.

Sulla carta, eccellente motore.

 

All'atto pratico ricordo che diede più di qualche problema di affidabilità, a differenza dei benzina praticamente indistruttibili. 

 

Diciamo che il binomio diesel/Giappone è sempre stato un po' critico.
