[h=2]onfirmed by Wolfgang Duerheimer[/h]Bentley has decided to resurrect the Mulsanne Convertible project, just over a year after stopping development.

At last year's Geneva Motor Show, Wolfgang Schreiber - who at that moment was Bentley's CEO – announced the cancellation of the Mulsanne Convertible project. Development of the model started during Wolfgang Duerheimer stay at Bentley as CEO and now he's back and has decided to resurrect the project which originally debuted in 2012 at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance as a concept.

At this year's Pebble Beach, Wolfgang Duerheimer declared he "was a bit irritated by the fact that no work had been done on this project in two years" but now the Mulsanne Convertible "is back on track." The model will likely receive the Azure nameplate and will be powered by the Mulsanne's twin-turbo V8 6.75-liter engine generating 512 PS (377 kW) and 752 lb-ft (1,020 Nm) of torque.

Duerheimer didn't specify a launch date for the open-top Mulsanne but it will likely be introduced in the next 2-3 years.

Si chiama Bentley Grand Convertible. Basata sulla Bentley Mulsanne Speed, ha un costo di 3.5 milioni di $. Tutti venduti ovviamente. E la produzione di 19 unità annue è già esaurita.

Ti assicuro che non lo vuoi sapere il costo di queste lavorazioni a mano, quanto sub-contract fanno, dove, come e quanto sono pagati gli “specialisti”. Per carità, son cose artigianali di livello, però la cifra è una cosa impensabile...
