Presentazione confermata per Ginevra, cambieranno esterni ed interni.

Lotus CEO Jean-Marc Gales has revealed some new details about the company's future product lineup.Speaking to Autocar, the executive addressed the recent cuts by saying the company would not have survived doing business as usual. As he explained, Lotus now has about 900 employees and they are on track to build approximately 2,000 cars this year. He expects that number to climb to about 3,000 units annually and remain at that level for several years.

In order to grow, Gales believes a Porsche-like strategy is the way to go. This will likely upset the purists who hate the idea of a Lotus-branded sedan and crossover but the executive believes these new models could help to increase sales to approximately 10,000 units annually. Unfortunately, Gales confirmed "We won’t have the funds to build all-new cars in the next few years."

In the meantime, we can expect a heavily revised Evora to debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. It will reportedly be lighter and more powerful than its predecessor and feature revised styling inside and out.

The more power, less weight philosophy will also carry over to the 2016 Exige. There's also word of a mysterious "surprise" which will reportedly follow in the footsteps of 2-Eleven.

Al momento, come se non si fosse capito, in Lotus non han soldi per dei nuovi modelli, quindi continueranno con l'attuale lineup che verrà periodicamente rinnovata.

Più in là arriveranno anche un update per la Exige ed un modello, erede spirituale della 2-Eleven.

A me è sempre piaciuta parecchio, e ancora oggi la trovo una validissima alternativa alla più blasonata Cayman... Peccato che Lotus stessa non ci abbia mai creduto veramente.

Inoltre questo restyling andava già fatto almeno 2 anni fa, ma capisco che la costante mancanza di fondi non aiuti in questo senso.
