Mazda ha depositato il brevetto per un motore a due tempi un po' particolare.

É infatti dotato di un piccolo compressore (immagino simile a quello dello Skyactive-X), ed è comuque dotato di valvole.

    brevetto difensivo sullo Skyactiv-X, non vogliono che qualcuno si "infili" nei loro brevetti brevettando cose "simili" ma legalmente non uguali e quindi senza pagargli royalties, non ci sarà mai uno Skyactiv-X 2T
