Il Concept 8 è il secondo prototipo presentato da Peugeot caratterizzato da “design francese, intelligenza cinese”, si presume quindi adotterá meccanica Dongfeng ibrida REEV/elettrica e sarà venduto globalmente.

La strategia ormai è chiara, utilizzare stabilimenti e tecnologie dei parter cinesi per vendere auto globalmente (come fanno Nissan/Dongfeng, Land Rover/Chery, Renault/Geely)

Un po' sorpreso dall'uso di meccaniche Dongfeng, se proprio ricarrozzamento cinese dev'essere non sarebbe stato più opportuno riprendere piattaforme Leapmotor?

Le quote Dongfeng sono state ricomprate tutte nel 2023, ma hanno accordi (la JV c'è ancora) e si parlava di produrre anche Jeep cinesi.

Aggiungo che Blomberg parla di possibile accordi con STLA per produrre le Dongfeng in Europa.
