[h=2]Could get a different moniker[/h]Jeep's president and chief executive officer Mike Manley has confirmed the Liberty successor will be showcased at the 2013 New York Auto Show.

Scheduled to make an appearance at the end of next month, the Liberty replacement could get a new moniker. Chrysler's CEO Sergio Marchionne previously confirmed the vehicle will be offered with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

According to a report, the car could get a new V6 3.2-liter engine which might be based on the 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar mill. The same source indicates the Liberty successor will be offered as standard with front-wheel drive but an optional four-wheel drive system will be available.
