$430,000 Alfa Romeo GT Restomod Will Feature The 540HP V6 Heart Of The Giulia Quadrifoglio

Late last year a small boutique company, Emilia Auto announced plans to build a classic Alfa Romeo restomod. Now, they’ve finalized the design and are showing it off in all of its glory. In fact, they’ve already taken a few orders and started working on the prototype which houses a Giulia Quadrifoglio powertrain under the bodywork.

This gorgeous little beast is based on the Alfa Giulia GT Coupe from the 1960s and 1970s so it’s fitting that a modern Giulia drivetrain motivates it. Clear to see from the renders, this restomod has a number of small subtle cues that differentiate it from the original car.

Many of the changes come about as a result of the drivetrain and the performance needs inherit with this sort of power. For instance, the total length of the sports car has increased by 40 mm to make clearance for the large pair of intercoolers feeding the turbochargers.

The large air intakes on the front of the vehicle are integral to keeping both the powertrain and the braking systems cool. Emilia Auto says that the larger openings in the wheels also contribute to temperature management regarding the brakes. Of course, many details are simply intended to accentuate the original shapes.

The hood with its step nose is a direct tie back to Alfas of old. At the same time, this won’t feel like an old car once you’re inside of it. Emilia also plans to include an 8.8-inch infotainment system in the center console along with air conditioning and modern LED headlights. The company will even add a backup camera for customers that would like it.

That might be the least to ask of a car that costs this much. For your €400,000 (equal to $429,900 at today’s exchange rates), you’ll get the chance to have many parts customized. The carpet color, wheel color, roll bar color, and headliner color are all up to the owner. In addition, they get to choose what sort of dash material they’d like, what color of brake calipers they prefer, and what type of sound system will be installed.

Evidently, there are still build slots open for delivery late next year so if you’ve got a bunch of cash burning a hole in your pocket here’s one stunning way to spend it.

Per me è no. La versione di Totem resta secondo me su un altro pianeta. Poi non capisco se l'auto è tutta nuova o ci sia realmente un'auto donatrice

Secondo me non gli è venuto bene il posteriore, che sembra più BMW o lancia che Alfa. comunque a livello di pezzi, sembra non avere niente in comune con la progenitrice

a me sembra che la zona dal parabrezza al lunotto sia originale ; ed infatti stona con la parte inferiore sovradimensionata

Secondo me i cerchi son troppo piccoli… un paio di pollici in più sarebbero stati perfetti!
