So what five things have we learned from the Barcelona Test?

1. Ducati are OK. 
There was a slight concern that losing two bikes might hurt them, but that's been thrown clean out the window. The GP24s are still race winning machines, and the GP25 is even better. They'll be alright.

2. KTM aren't as bad as we thought. 
They're not a Ducati level, but the RC16 is hardly a poor bike either. The 2025 bike seems to be a step forward too, and the two joining riders seemed to gel with it pretty quickly. Bastianini ruined one, but it's not panic stations or anything as he went faster after the crash with only the 2024 bike at his disposal.

3. Aprilia's level has gone down since 2022.
You could see it on the onboards. The rear grip is light years away from Ducati. There was a transition on the coverage where Bezzecchi was bouncing around, then it switched to Marquez and he was planted. Work to do in Noale if they want to challenge for wins next season, even with the world champion on board. Some positives, with both riders coming from different Ducati specs loving the front, but I think they'll be surprised at the difference in machinery.

4. Once again, concessions are working. Both Honda and Yamaha were a lot closer. Yes it's just testing but the times are better. The consistency is better. And they'll benefit even further in 2025 from the extra testing. It takes time, the concessions speeds up the process effectively.

5. The rookies crop is good this year.
Yes none of them will do a Pedro Acosta and challenge instantly. But they proved none of them were out of their depth, Fermin Aldeguer ended up fastest of them and they all showed they're pretty okay in this field.

Sono d'accordo quasi su tutto, ma dire che KTM non è male come si pensa anche no, l'unico che si muove bene è il solito "tryharder" Acosta, gli altri li ho visti parecchio "impacciati"(il bestia su tutti).

Vedremo quando avranno settings veramente 2025 anche come pacchetto assetto-elettronica-motore, ma si parla almeno di febbraio, quindi campa cavallo.

Se anche  Jorge Lorenzo conferma le difficoltà nell' accoppiata Aprilia -JM1, il Tapiro e' loro ( per ora) .

Raga, mettetevi l'anima i pace, l'anno prossimo Pecco e Marc le vincono tutte.

 

L'unica speranza per gli altri è che Gigi venga beccato a palpare tette e culi o che in Ducati si rivelino essere dei ladruncoli come in RB, Mercedes e McLaren. Ma non sembra essere il caso.
