In Europa e nella maggioranza dei paesi usano la misurazione RON (Research Octane Number) come numero di ottani, negli stati uniti il numero di ottani e' la media tra RON e MON(Motor Octane Number) una prova piu' severa....

Eu/JP/AUS etc. numero di ottano = RON

USA/CAN/BR etc. numero di ottano = AKI(Anti Knock Index) =RON+MON/2
