[h=2]Arriving late 2015[/h]The next generation of the BMW 7-Series is set to go on a massive diet when it arrives in late 2015.

Based on a recent report, the new 7-Series will have a new structure using steel, aluminum and carbon fiber which will make the entry-level 740i model a lot lighter than today's 1,900 kg (4,188 lbs) model. Autocar reports that it could turn out to be even lighter than today's base 5-Series model which weighs 1,670 kg (3,681 lbs).

The next-gen BMW 7-Series is likely to be 5010mm long, 1815mm wide and 1425mm tall, and will be offered in two wheelbase lengths. Under the hood it will receive a wide array of six-cylinder, V8 and V12 mills, along with inline-six diesels. Also in the works is a plug-in hybrid gasoline-electric model. The same source says a new nine-speed ZF automatic transmission will be offered as standard, while rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive will be available.

Internally known as the G11, the new BMW 7-Series is going to receive a 760 xDrive M Performance version which will have a more powerful variant of the firm's V8 4.4-liter twin-turbo engine.

The next generation of the BMW 7-Series will be revealed at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and will go on sale before the end of that year.

Mi sono limitato agli ultimi anni ?

A livello di stile, per me questa rimane la migliore.

Il rendering non è male, mi dà l'impressione di essere partito dalla 6er GC.

Lo stile BMW anni '80 e '90 rimarrà sempre il più pulito. Ancora oggi fa la sua porca figura. Vedere per credere
