A new report indicates Range Rover is mulling a more powerful version of the Evoque.Our spies have already caught testing theRange Rover Sport RS, but before that Land Rover will launch an Evoque RS. The car is expected to come out before the end of the year and will be followed in 2014 by the Range Rover Sport RS.

Powering the Evoque RS will allegedly be a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine developing somewhere in the region of 300 bhp (224 kW). Rather than creating a beefed up body kit, Land Rover will play it safe and make only subtle styling revisions to separate the Evoque RS from the standard model.

As for the Range Rover Sport RS, this will get a supercharged V8 5.0-liter mill with 543 bhp (405 kW) and 501 lb-ft (680 Nm) of torque. The extra oomph should enable the high-performance SUV to hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in about 4.8 seconds taking into account the Supercharged model with its 503 bhp (375 kW) engine does it in 5 seconds.

il V6 nuovo non va nel vano motore della piattaforma EUCD su cui è basata Evoque.

L'Evoque DEVE avere per forza un V6, IMHO. Sarebbe la quadratura del cerchio
