Alfa Romeo Giulia is still wearing Maserati Ghibli body

Our spy photographers have managed to capture the upcoming Alfa Romeo Giulia on camera once again, this time in Livigno, Italy, as the model was still wearing the body of the Maserati Ghibli.

Alfa Romeo is playing safe in the development of the brand new Giulia as the company has chosen to use the body of the Maserati Ghibli, once again, in order to hide the looks of the upcoming premium sedan. The model in question has been spotted just a day ago, in Livigno, while it was being tested in the snow, but even with the Ghibli body on it, we can still see that this is shorter and narrower than the entry-level Maserati vehicle.

The Alfa Romeo Giulia is believed to ride on a completely new platform with rear-wheel drive setup but all-wheel drive will be offered as an option on more expensive versions. The platform is developed by Maserati and it will be used on future Dodge and Chrysler cars.

The Giulia will be the first model to ride on the new platform and this will receive a new top of the line version, currently named as the GTA, which will be packing a 3.0 liter V6 twin turbo engine made by Maserati, producing in the vicinity of 480 HP (358 kW) – 520 HP (387 kW), connected to a dual clutch transmission and a limited slip differential.

From 0 to 100 km/h, the Giulia GTA will need less than 4 seconds. The production version of the Alfa Romeo Giulia is believed to be unveiled sometimes this year.

mi piacerebbe vedere una giulia quadrifoglio verde in stile giulietta e mito e poi una giulia gta con modifiche estetiche e con la potenza che si vocifera, sarebbe il top.
