Il pianale e la meccanica Cherokee sono derivate dalla meccanica prevista per l'Alfa C-Xover, un crossover Alfa Romeo di 4,6m su base C-Evo modificato da cui avrebbe dovuto derivare appunto Alfa C-Xover e la Giulia a TA/TI previste nel product plan del 2007.  

Scusa taurus ma può essere che a livello di stile qualcosa di questo alfa c-x over sia passato al cherokee?
Ricordo che QR aveva parlato di un suv con i fanali anteriori sdoppiati (iso juke) , di cui quelli superiori simili a quelli attuali del cherokee

sono nati quasi in contemporanea, perché appunto dividevano lo stesso pianale e la stessa impostazione tecnica, tra cui lo sdoppiamento dei proiettori

We'll see. There should be upcoming generation of diesel engines from FCA. They must be compliant with Euro 6d and they must have SCR. In other words you will fill in AdBlue.

 

Euro 6d dates are 9/2018 and 9/2019.

 

And Cherokee MY2019 is a facelift. Orders in US will be opened on 11th of January 2018. So a very early MY introduction.

Now when you mentioned both that's a very interesting story. Interior space for both is very similar although Cherokee is much bigger from the outside. Can Compass cannibalize Cherokee sales?

 

For example in US they already abandoned Cherokee's base Sport trim level. IMO, the next step will be reluctance to introduce Hurricane for Compass.
