La malese Proton sta ultimando un accordo con il gruppo Psa (Peugeot-Citroë): l'ha annunciato l'amministratore delegato, Syed Zainal Abidin Mohamed Tahir, dopo che le trattative con la Volkswagen non hanno avuto buon esito.

L'intesa porterebbe vantaggi a entrambe le aziende: la Proton sfrutterebbe l'esperienza tecnologica del Gruppo transalpino, che a sua volta avrebbe un importante sbocco nell'area del sud-est asiatico.

Anche la Lotus, della quale la Casa malese controlla l'80% del pacchetto azionario, può stare tranquilla: "Con il nostro supporto vogliamo assicurare alla Lotus un futuro di successo", ha concluso Tahir.
