Tralasciando il photoshop speculativo (che trovo molto carino), dovrebbe ottenere una notevole riduzione di peso oltre all'ovvia adozione dei nuovi turbo SIDI, tra cui anche il piccolo 1.0.

Urca ma per me è orrendo quel render, sembra un trasformer dovrebbero alleggerirla e renderla più filante per me. Come qualità dei materiali la trovo ok invece.

A new report indicates the next generation of the Opel Astra will be introduced in 2015 and will adopt styling cues from the Monza concept.Rumors are starting to emerge about the new Opel/Vauxhall Astra which is likely to see daylight sometime around 2015 when it is expected to resemble the striking Monza concept exhibited last month at IAA in Frankfurt. Expect to see an updated version of the front grille's wing motif while the headlights will probably be more angular. In addition, the redesigned front bumper will host significantly bigger air intakes which will make the car look more aggressive.

For the first time in Astra's existence the car will be manufactured outside Germany as Opel and Vauxhall have announced production will take place in Gliwice, Poland and Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, UK. As a result of this rather surprising decision, Astra production in Rüsselsheim, Germany will be terminated.

Opel and Vauxhall plan to invest 300M EUR (about 257M GBP or 413M USD) in the two factories where the next-gen Astra will be built. More than 700 jobs will be created at the UK factory bringing up the total to 2,800 workers.

It will come with the company's latest engines including the 114 HP (84 kW) 3-cylinder 1.0-liter turbocharged gasoline motor which served as a range-extender in the Monza. The recently launched 1.6-liter turbo and 1.6-liter diesel engines will also be available along with several new transmissions.

As far as technology is concerned, the next-gen Astra will be sold with the firm's IntelliLink system which will provide support for a wide variety of smartphone apps.
