Stellantis and Leapmotor officially start B10 production in Zaragoza, turning their alliance into a European industrial reality

ZARAGOZA, 2026 October 16 – At a major event that generated significant media interest, Stellantis and Leapmotor officially marked the start of production of the Leapmotor B10, a milestone that brings their strategic alliance to life and reinforces their commitment to electric mobility that is more accessible, competitive and made in Europe.

Within our FaSTLAne 2030 strategy, this project embodies a win-win partnership built on complementary strengths: Stellantis' global industrial expertise, manufacturing excellence, quality standards and international presence with Leapmotor's innovation and technology capabilities.

Together, we combine these strengths with deep knowledge of European markets and customers to accelerate competitive electric mobility.

This partnership goes beyond manufacturing, reflecting the strategic value that both Stellantis and Leapmotor bring to the project.

Zaragoza was selected for the plant’s quality, available capacity and industrial expertise. The B10 joins a facility that currently produces the Opel Corsa, Peugeot 208 and Lancia Ypsilon.

“The electric transition must also be an industrial transition. If our partnership is the strategy, Zaragoza is the proof that we can combine global technology, competitiveness and European industrial capabilities.”, said Stellantis representative Silvia Vernetti.

For Leapmotor, manufacturing the B10 in Spain is a further step in its internationalisation strategy, in which Europe is a strategic part of its global plan.

“Our roots are in China and our ambition is global. Europe is a strategic part of that ambition, and producing in Zaragoza allows us to bring our technology closer to European markets and customers.”, said Leapmotor Founder and President, Jiangming Zhu.

The event also welcomed a prominent institutional delegation led by Jorge Azcón, President of the Government of Aragon, and Jordi García Brustenga, Secretary of State for Industry, underscoring the importance of the project for Spanish industry and for positioning Aragon as a strategic region in the transformation of the automotive industry.

The start of production in Zaragoza therefore represents a new model of industrial cooperation that brings together global technology, European manufacturing and Spanish competitiveness.

Two Forces. A Bright Electric Future. Built in Europe.
