Debuting at 2013 Rolex 24 at Daytona

The Mazda6 Skyactiv-D racecar has been unveiled in Detroit, before its race debut on January 26 at 2013 Rolex 24.

Three cars are going to take part in the GRAND-AM GX class of the upcoming 2013 Rolex 24 at Daytona, with each of the teams consisting of five drivers. The vehicle showcased at the North American International Auto Show is wearing the number 70 and is sponsored by SpeedSource, a longtime Mazda motorsport partner.

In related news, the GX class could be added to the GRAND-AM half of the GT mix next year or in 2015 or it could run separately as a fifth class. This is a result of the GRAND-AM and ALMS merger set for 2014.
