Si potrebbe chiamare Variosport il sostituto alla Volkswagen Sharan, monovolume 7 posti della casa di Wolfsburg. 

Lo stile sarà più da crossover e verrà offerta in declinazione 5 o 7 posti.

Nell'idea di Volkswagen si vuole sostituire con un unico modello sia Sharan sia Caravelle (declinazione civile del Volkswagen Transporter), basato sulla piattaforma MQB-EVO.
